Robert Frank on the Web!

I finally found something filmed by Robert Frank on the web!
I can't say it's great but it's kinda cool.

VW's aren't just for hippies anymore.

Back in the day I was really into air cooled VW's.
I fell out of it after the dredded transmission disaster of 98' (I wonder if Ken still has that trany sittin' in his basement?) That and the fact that I have never been in the position to have my own garage have really prohibited my purchase of a clean Cal-Look.
I went to a Volksfest in Toccoa Georgia last week... I'm hooked again and dreaming of a nice Split.

Quality control.. AKA. Personal favorite photo of the year that sucks, La Paz Pigeon 2004.

For years I have been dedicated to the mantra "Don't put work out there for people to see unless it is of the absolute highest quality".

I have decided that this really is an unrealistic goal most of the time and that I really need to loosen up.
Let me explain if I can.

Many amature photographers out there have decided that publishing a photo a day is the best way to keep them photographing. As if showing us ANY image is really better then holding out and waiting to update when they have something meaningful to show. Not that you shouldn't randomly photograph things, (Winogrand did) it's just well... why bother showing it to the world if you don't have a purpose? Pick your best photo of the week, or of the month (Why have we alway put a time frame on it?) and show us that.

Needless to say this has kind of backfired on me and for years I haven't published anything on the web until now.

When I started this blog I decided this could be my outlet but that I should still stick to only showing quality work.
That hasn't really happened.

Buy My Hexar RF!

I am auctioning off my lovely little Hexar RF and 28mm Hexanon lens. I really want my rangefinder equipment to go to a good home. Hopefully a photographer will purchase them to use rather then collect. Either way, someone is going to get a great deal on some rare gear.
