Retail Space: Scan Baby

Another photo from my Retail series. This was on the first roll of film I photographed for this series. I was almost kicked out of this Wal-Mart in Ann Arbor for poking my camera around the store. I was still using my Nikon F4s and 20mm lens. (For those of you who don't know, that is about the biggest 35mm camera in existence).

I was just waiting for security to bust me. And bust me they did, soon after I had photographed the shot gun case they "caught" me in the toy section and asked me "just what the hell I thought I was doing". I made a deal with the security guards, I told them that I would put my lens cap on and not photograph any longer if they allowed me to continue shopping. It worked and they didn't kick me out!

This is a photo of Ewan McGregor in Siberia on vacation. The two trucks behind him are about to try and cross the flooded road. I spent about 6 hours this weekend watching the entire series Long Way Round. www.longwayround.com So cool to be able to have the resources and "cojones" to travel like they did.

Love for the Midwest

I've got love for the Mid-West. The best sunsets in the world are in Nebraska. This is a crappy one photographed at 55 mph.

Otis and I took to the road. What would you do with 10 days and a car that could make it anywhere? Instead of doing something exciting like camping all the way to Glacier National Park, I have opted to hang out at my parent’s house and catch up with some old friends. Air Conditioning rules!
