
This is a shout out to all those kids in small towns making it happen.
I grew up skating spots like this. Hanging out behind grocery stores and dirty loading docks. It makes me happy to see some kids are still making what they can of what they have around them.
It reminds me of when I was a kid and I would visit my cousin in Ashland Nebraska. It was only 30 miles away from bigger cities like Omaha and Lincoln but the kids were always at least 6 months "behind the times".
I'll give you an example:
In the early 90's neon shoe laces were still being rocked in Ashland when they were way out of style in the big city.
It makes you think, some of the most individual kids must be the ones who are actually out of touch with the rest of the world.
If there is one thing I have learned over the years it's that there is a huge difference between being unintelligent and naive.
